Stacey started her chartered accounting career in 1993, before relocating to Sydney, Australia in 1998 where she worked in a global mid-tier chartered accounting firm. Whilst in Australia she also gained her Australian Chartered Accountant qualification. She joined Grant Thornton New Zealand in 2002, after four years in Sydney, and became a Partner in 2009.
Stacey’s experience covers a variety of ownership structures, with a diverse range of sizes from small entrepreneurial start ups to established multi-nationals. Most of these are owner operated or family enterprises, which is an aspect of the job she particularly enjoys.
Stacey values the importance of building strong relationships with her clients, helping to cut through the complexity and challenges of a growing business and working together with them to achieve their business goals.
Her clients are across a number of business industries including IT, professional services, healthcare, not for profit and construction which provides variety and insight across many sectors.
