Prior to joining Grant Thornton New Zealand, Hamish was a Partner with Ernst & Young’s Risk Advisory Services based in Wellington, and before that a Managing Director with KPMG’s IT Advisory practice in New York.
Hamish’s specific focus has been the control and management of IT. He has worked with large and small organisations and programmes to better define the practices around the control and management of IT and IT changes.
Some of the experience Hamish brings to Grant Thornton include working with large public sector entities and programmes to establish risk management for IT security, probity and general project delivery risk. Hamish has a wealth of experience both here in New Zealand and overseas in the financial services and energy sectors dealing with technology risk management.
