CHICAGO and AUCKLAND, December 12, 2025 – Grant Thornton New Zealand has completed a transaction that makes it part of the Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform — extending the platform’s reach across 20 time zones into the Asia Pacific region.
Grant Thornton Advisors launched its platform earlier this year with the support of an investor group led by New Mountain Capital — and is bringing high-performing firms across the Americas, Europe the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region into an integrated advisory and tax practice, complemented by independent audit practices.
The New Zealand agreement follows recently announced transactions with European Grant Thornton member firms, including those in Ireland, France, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland/Liechtenstein, the Channel Islands and Poland — along with Grant Thornton firms in the United Arab Emirates, the Cayman Islands, Brazil and Puerto Rico.
The platform also includes Auxis, a pioneer in outsourcing and business modernisation services, and Stax, which specialises in commercial due diligence and value creation.
The New Zealand firm is a recognised leader in its region, with US$40+ million in annual revenue and a team of more than 300 dedicated professionals. It is known for its strength in key markets and its reputation for delivering leading audit, tax and advisory services.
This transaction will support the platform’s growth in the region. Clients will benefit from access to an even more extensive array of industry expertise and innovative solutions.
The expanded platform remains part of the Grant Thornton International Limited network, which comprises member firms in more than 150 markets worldwide.
The transaction was originally announced in November 2025.
