Meet our cloud services team

Grant Thornton New Zealand is delighted to announce the appointment of three new partners who have been active participants and influencers in the NZ cloud market for over a decade.

Robin Cockayne

A long-term former CEO of Revera, Robin successfully led the company in its bid to become one of three organisations selected to provide IT services to Government.  Revera was subsequently acquired by Spark and, with Robin continuing as CEO it became the largest cloud platform provider in New Zealand.  Robin was responsible for maintaining more than half of the New Zealand Government’s platforms, while at the same time being a key contributor to Spark’s business cloud strategy. After Revera merged with Spark in 2019, Robin established and led cloud transformation specialist, Leaven. 

Troy Myer

Troy has 25 years’ experience in the ICT industry with both multi-national and NZ organisations. After several years at the heart of delivering mission critical ICT services and projects as a technician and advisor, Troy joined Revera in 2009 as the move to in-country cloud services was accelerating. Troy was appointed to the Revera leadership team in 2011 to lead its professional services business and its business development function. Troy led Revera’s business development through 5 consecutive years of double digit growth – and maintained the Revera portfolio evolution throughout before taking on the roles of Technical Director and Cloud Practise Director following Revera’s merger into Spark in 2019.

Sri Gazula

Sri has nearly three decades of experience in ICT in the public and private sector environments in New Zealand. His experience encompass ICT planning, strategy, programme management, infrastructure, applications, multi and hybrid cloud adoption, security, telecommunications and business transformation. Sri has a track record of success leading programmes and operations in large and complex environments – and was called upon by the NZ government in 2011 to provide his experience as a steering committee group member in developing the successful All-of-Government cloud strategy. Sri is experienced in developing and driving strategic partnerships and managing vendor relationships and has done so for large government departments, private sector organisations and as a service provider partner. Sri was COO at Revera for five years up to Revera’s merger with Spark – at which time he was appointed CEO for an emerging tech start-up.
