Grant Thornton New Zealand appointed as provider on new Government consultancy panel

Grant Thornton New Zealand has been appointed as a panel member by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) as part of its All-of-Government (AoG) solution for purchasing consultancy services more effectively and efficiently.

Grant Thornton has secured places in all six sub-categories of the Government’s business and finance consultancy services panel; these include assurance, audit, procurement and logistics, accounting, finance and economics and taxation.

Murray Chandler, Grant Thornton Partner and Head of Public Sector Services said, “The appointments to the AoG panel further demonstrates our dedication to the sector; it’s something we’re really proud of.

“MBIE’s quality and value for money scores for Grant Thornton as a Tier 1 provider across the audit, assurance and procurement and logistics sub-categories were especially pleasing.

“We have an in depth understanding of the issues faced by Government, and we’re pleased to have the opportunity to provide the expert support it needs to achieve positive outcomes for the  country.

“Our dedicated public sector team is looking forward to helping the NZ Government deliver on its vision of a successful New Zealand.”

In its announcement about the AoG consultancy solution, MBIE said that the panel providers offer agencies a wide range of high quality consultancy services, including good value for money and increased efficiency due to streamlining the engagement process.
