Tania has spent the last 25 years in the chartered accountancy profession and has been with Grant Thornton New Zealand for 22 years. She is an adviser and accountant to a considerable range of people in business.

Tania recognises the importance of getting to know both her clients and their businesses and to talk to clients in their own language. She believes many business owners make the mistake of personally spending too much time working in their business. She likes to help her clients by providing practical business advice as well as attending to accounting and taxation needs.

Her growing client portfolio is varied and focuses on the owner-managed business sector, the not for profit sector and healthcare specialists. Other than her client portfolio work, Tania is responsible for:

• Business development advice
• Staff training and client seminars
• Forecasts, budgeting and business plans
• Business structuring
• Succession planning

Outside interests

Tania is a keen rugby, cricket and league fan who follows the All Blacks and the Hurricanes. She enjoys spending time with her family and keeping fit.
