Richard Sherwin has gained experience in all facets of accounting and auditing during his career including:

  • Control and coordination of complete audit assignments organisation and methods
  • Taxation
  • Coaching businesses for improved performance.

Richard is responsible for a broad-base portfolio of accounting and audit clients and is a member of the Grant Thornton Business Advisory Taskforce.

Richard has a special interest in family owned businesses and as a result of this is a member of the Australasian Taskforce looking after all aspects of this sector.

Richard has a balanced mix of experience working in commerce and the accountancy profession. Along with a teaching background, this experience provides an excellent base from which to present seminars on behalf of Grant Thornton.

Outside Interests

Richard is a member of the Rotary Club of Plimmerton and has served on a number of local committees. Richard has three daughters and enjoys boating and fishing
