Barry has been with Grant Thornton New Zealand in senior positions since 1998.

While Barry has in-depth experience working alongside various types of businesses and organisations he specialises in assisting with:

  • Not for Profit challenges around change management, finance teams, CEO support, KPI and financial reporting
  • SME business owners challenges around software, Board & owner support, profit improvement and finance applications
  • Medical Centre structures, operations and rationalisation.

Barry has strong interest in technology and how this can empower clients to minimise the various costs of compliance so that he & his team can provide them with support and high value assistance.

Barry has presented several  seminars on Not for Profit issues, managing cash flows and understanding financial statements/responsibilities.

Outside interests

Barry is an avid fan of the All Blacks, his local Les Mills and spending time with his wife Hikitia and newborn son Jack. He provides advice and time to various Not for Profit groups.
