Robyn joined Grant Thornton in 2005 and is a member of the Privately Held Business advisory services team of Grant Thornton New Zealand.

Robyn has over 19 years experience in the accounting sector, predominantly in mid-size CA firms in Christchurch and Dunedin. She then moved to the corporate sector where she worked as Group Accountant and Accounting Manager – Corporate for a large nationwide FMCG company.

Robyn has developed expertise in many areas of accountancy and business management including:

  • Business planning
  • Business structuring and restructuring
  • Succession planning
  • Budgeting and cashflow forecasting
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Financing proposals
  • Taxation

Robyn provides innovative solutions and advisory support to family and business groups across a number of sectors including SMEs, healthcare, commercial, property development, manufacturing and the primary sector.

Providing strategic solutions and developing close working relationships with clients in her growing portfolio are areas that Robyn finds most rewarding.

Community involvement

Robyn is a member of Zonta, an organisation advancing the status of women through service, education and advocacy.  Robyn is also on the fundraising committee for the Canterbury Charitable Hospital Trust.

Outside interests

“Loves the outdoors but doesn’t see why she should be uncomfortable in them.” Robyn is married to Geoff and they are both keen Jet boaters. She particularly loves the access to the remote places in New Zealand that this takes her.

Socialising and spending time with friends and family are important to her and she also enjoys travel, movies, reading, listening to music and gardening.
