Summer intern programme (Auckland only)

The Grant Thornton Auckland Summer Intern programme provides the perfect opportunity to sample life as an Auditor or Business Adviser, and decide whether the Grant Thornton environment is right for you.

What do I need?

You will need to be currently enrolled in a degree that meets the NZICA requirements, in your third year of study and legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

When do the internships take place?

The Grant Thornton Auckland Summer Intern programme runs annually from late November to mid-February.

What sort of things will I be doing?

You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience as a key member of the Audit or Business Advisory team, which will include:

  • Assisting on client assignments
  • On-the-job training 
  • Attending team member meetings and functions (including team building and team member events)
  • Shadowing team member
  • Generally helping out around the firm and getting to know people
